If you've been wondering where I've been, I've been taking a bit of a break to take care of some health issues and start getting back into music. Before I drew badly, I played guitar badly, and it wasn't until I picked up my guitar for the first time in six or seven years a couple weeks ago that I realized that I really miss making twangy string sounds. When I was a teenager I had an acoustic guitar that had belonged to my eldest sister, and it was one of the primary ways I relieved stress. I could just sit back, or lay down, and pluck away at the strings. Drawing and painting are still great for kind of letting it all out, but there's something so immediate about music, and that immediacy of release is something I've been missing in my life for a long time.
Drawing and painting are still my calling, and I'm not going to quit doing those any time soon, but this brief hiatus has been good for me. I definitely needed to step back for a bit and focus on something else.
